General instructions:-

  1. The Candidates are advised to go through the Minimum Qualifications and Experience Criteria prescribed for the post before filling the online Form.
  2. When you apply for more than one post you should submit a separate Application &Processing fees for each post.
  3. As per Government of Gujarat Resolution, the appointments for positions like P.A. To Registrar / Electric Wireman / Section Officer / Technical Assistant (Library) /Accountant / Head Clerk / Stenographer Grade-II / Storekeeper / Warden (Ladies Hostel)/ Senior Clerk / Junior Clerk / Laboratory Assistant (Chemistry)/Scientific Electronic Technical Assistant ( Physics), will be based on the Results declared of the Preliminary Test and Subject/Technical Proficiency Test.
  4. The appointments for the Positions like Chief Account’s officer, Deputy Registrar, Electronic Engineer, Assistant Registrar, and Programmer will be based on either Preliminary Test/ Subject /Technical Proficiency test and/or Interview. The weightage of tests and Interview would considered proportionately.
  5. Gujarat University, Ahmedabad reserves all the right whether to fill up or not, any or all the vacancies advertised and dates of both the tests.
  6. The eligibility of the candidate in respect of age and qualifications will be determined as on the last date fixed for the receipt of application form.
  7. The reservation/ relaxations / concessions will be provided to SCs / STs / SEBC / PH / as per Govt. of Gujarat Rules.
  8. The appointment under reserved category will be provisional and subject to verification of caste / creamy layer certificate etc.
  9. Socially and Educationally Backward Class (SEBC) candidates will be considered as SEBC only if they submit the required Non-creamy layer certificate (latest).
  10. As per Government of Gujarat resolution, a reserved candidate applying for Unreserved Position is required to fulfill the Minimum Qualification and Age Criteria for that position.
  11. Candidates already in service have to submit a ‘NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE’ from his/her employer to the University along with Application and/or at the time of interview. Relaxation of in service candidate is as per Govt. of Gujarat and University rules.
  12. The University shall verify the documents at the time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is found that any document submitted is fake his/ her services shall be terminated forthwith.
  13. Applications sent through e-mail will not be entertained.
  14. Canvassing in any form may lead to cancellation of candidature.
  15. In case of any dispute, any sue or legal proceeding by or against the University, Courts within whose local Jurisdiction, Headquarter of the University is situated shall have the Jurisdiction.
