Jammu University invites application for the 99 Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor & Various Vacancies in various departments.

Name of Post:- Professor

  • Total no. of Posts:- 33 Posts
  • Age Limit:- As per Jammu University rules
  • Pay Scale:- Rs. 37400 – 67000/- Per Month Grade Pay Rs. 10000/- Per Month
  • Qualification:- Candidates should have passed an eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification in the concerned / allied/ relevant discipline with minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/ College.

Name of Post:- Associate Professor

  • Total no. of Posts:- 20 Posts
  • Age Limit:- As per Jammu University rules
  • Pay Scale:- Rs. 37400 – 67000/- Per Month Grade Pay Rs. 9000/- Per Month
  • Qualification:- Good academic record with a Ph.D Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines or A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) minimum of eight years of experience of Teaching.

Name of Post:- Assistant Professor

  • Total no. of Posts:- 41 Posts
  • Age Limit:- As per Jammu University rules
  • Pay Scale:- Rs. 15600 – 39100/- Per Month Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- Per Month
  • Qualification:- Good Academic record as detained by the concerned University with at least 55% marks ( or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University or NET/SET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturers (Assistant Professors) in University.

Selection Process:- Selection will be based on Written Test & Interview.

Application Fee / Form:- Candidates can obtain application form Assistant Registrar (Forms and Stationery), University of Jammu, Jammu personally on payment of Rs. 1210/- or by sending crossed Indian Postal order or Bank Draft worth Rs. 1260/- (it required by post) drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Jammu, Jammu – 1800–6 or those who submit the downloaded application form shall be required to enclose crossed Indian Postal Orders or Bank Draft worth Rs. 1210/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Jammu.

How to apply offline for University of Jammu Exam:- Interested and Eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application with recent passport size photograph pasted, attested copies of qualification certificates, testimonials, publications etc. as mentioned in the notification clearly for each post should be send only through registered post to the Assistant Registrar (Teaching Wing), First Floor, New Administrative Block, University of Jammu, Jammu (Tawi) – 180006, J&K State on or before 31st January 2017.
